How did we showcase the three cushioning types?
Nike provided brand assets and specified that their vibrant red be a key feature of the project. With most of the shoe models not yet released, we were challenged to showcase the footwear without revealing their full design.
The main creative challenge was to clearly show the differences between the three cushioning types-Supportive, Responsive, and Maximum. Inspired by the sharp, dynamic feel of pointed typography, the visual concept started to come together.
-
I developed a system of dotted illustrations that reflected varying levels of pressure-each tailored to express the feel of each cushioning type.
This solution introduced a distinctive visual language that could flex across campaign assets, clearly communicating the technology while aligning with Nike’s bold and forward-thinking design ethos.

What are the deliverables?
Both image and video deliverables were requested for this project, and due to the quick turnaround, the team collaborated with a freelance animator. The main deliverable was a short-form video focused on showcasing Nike’s upcoming running shoes, with a primary emphasis on the three distinct cushioning types.
-
The video featured a custom-designed table that highlighted the cushioning types in a clear and visually engaging way. The final result was clean, confident, and fully aligned with Nike’s bold and dynamic visual identity.
