Design a versatile animal print graphic for Puma’s CORE consumer that speaks to current fashion trends while staying true to the brand’s sporty, confident aesthetic. The print needed to work both as an eye-catching all-over pattern and in combination with Puma’s iconic No.1 logo across apparel.

Challenge

  • The aim was to develop a flexible visual language that adds value to Puma’s CORE range. The design had to strike a balance between boldness and wearability, making it adaptable across different styles, colour-ways, and placements, while still feeling distinctly Puma.

How did I develop the print?

This collection features three bold colourways - pink, black, and beige- bringing a fresh energy to Puma’s core apparel line. With animal print on the rise, thorough research pointed to zebra as the next standout print, offering a natural evolution from their previous leopard print collection.

  • The zebra print was reimagined to feel more elevated and dynamic. Using subtle shadowing and negative space to create texture and movement within the design.

The scale of the print was intentionally balanced to ensure it flowed seamlessly across garments, allowing the pattern to stand out without overwhelming the silhouette.
